Safe Places was made during the Covid-19 pandemic, between Nuremberg and the outskirts of Delft. At a time when maintaining social distance became the primary daily task, the search for spaces without human presence turned into something more than a precaution — it became a need. Places where vegetation has taken over, where there is no room for a person to enter, became the only possible idea of safe ground.
