Lenin. Collected works (2018)
The installation "Lenin. Collected Works" was photographed in a field in the Moscow region. The work contains three incomplete collected works of Lenin (112 volumes) and addresses the impossibility of recognizing historical memory as one's own. Despite the apparent accessibility of information about a historical epoch or a person, events remain closed and alien to the reader. Facts and names outline objects but fail to fill them with meaning. This illusion of openness offers only one possibility — to change the distance from which we look. But the variation of distance turns out to be an optical game that provides nothing but the feeling of approximation.
